Automatic doors to the front and rear

To make access easier into and out of Barkers push pad door openers have been installed on our existing doors at the front and rear of the store. The push pads are at a height suitable for everyone, either able bodied or in a wheelchair removing the need to push or pull the doors for entering or leaving.

New Look update

On the Fashion Floor, Lingerie has been given a totally new look with the addition of some new brands into the department to join Elle MacPherson, Legaby, Triumph, Lepel, Playtex and Wonderbra. Space has been created to browse, additional displays have been added, and we now have more spacious fitting rooms and free measuring and fitting service from our trained team, all designed to make shopping easier and more fun.

The Menswear area has now been totally remodelled to give a lighter more spacious feel. Backs have been taken out of windows to let natural light in, we've improved the store lighting, there are enlarged fitting rooms, and the wide range of top brands each now have their own area to help make choosing relaxed, easy & pleasurable.

Henri Lloyd is a new addition to Menswear, with some exciting styles, fabrics and shades for this season.

Work is now complete on the new Greetings card and Gift area at the front of the store. Also completed is the new larger than ever Handbag, Fashion Accessory and Hosiery section, one of the best of it's kind in the North.
